RESULTS
The project consists of five results:
RESULT 1
Project Management
RESULT 5
Dissemination and publicising the project
RESULT 2
Research and specific competences for older logistics managers
RESULT 3
Development of training materials in the field of digitalisation for senior logistics managers
RESULT 4
Development of an interactive online area for older logistics managers
This result of the DiRECT project will focus on the first main outcome of the project - mapping the digital skills needs of people over 50 in the logistics sector in the EU and the resources that trainers in the logistics sector need to train older workers.
The specific objectives of Result 2 are in particular the following: By month 6 of the project, identify the level of digital skills and/or specific digital competences and produce a competence map.
The main objective of Result 3 is to create materials tailored to the needs of older logistics workers in the field of digitalisation in the future, as defined in the reports of
Result 2. Therefore, it is important that the required digital skills are differentiated along the entire supply chain (purchasing, transport, production and warehouse).
In addition, it is important that the existing competence level of senior logistics staff in the area of digital skills in the individual differentiated countries is recorded. A further objective is to precisely analyse subject-specific and country-specific differences between the required and actual competence profiles of managers in logistics in the area of digital skills. A further objective is the development of web-based training materials and e-toolkit content, on the basis of which the competence level of the target group in the required competences in the area of digitalisation and logistics is to be increased.
Result 4 of the project will produce the third and fourth main results of the DiRECT project - the DiRECT platform and the DiRECT e-toolkit. In this outcome, a web-based training platform will be developed. The e-learning platform is an innovative way to engage learners remotely in the training process. The e-learning platform will host all training materials and the toolkit, which consists of the training programme for the logistics employees on the one hand and the toolkit with materials, resources and lesson plans for their trainers/internal company trainers on the other. At the same time, the platform will also host a networking forum where all trainers and companies can socialise and exchange ideas and best practices. Visitors will have the opportunity to register on the platform and create their personal profile.
The platform will be user-friendly and will support a chat room where registered members can communicate with each other in pairs, groups or in a shared forum. The platform will be available in all of the partners' languages. Content will be uploaded to the platform in all languages in which it was produced. The platform will be compatible with desktop and mobile devices and will include training modules that provide the necessary knowledge for 50+ logistics employees.
